I am a hand weaver in Anchorage, Alaska, and have been weaving for over thirty years. For the past twenty years, I have been concentrating on weaving rugs of various styles and techniques on a floor loom in my home studio. |

Although my rugs are woven for the floor, many productions are suitable for wall display as art objects. Recent weaving projects that I have designed and woven include Tartan balanced-weave rugs, Swedish ripsmatta table runners and upholstery fabrics, Norwegian krokbragd rugs and shaft-switched, weft-faced rugs. |
|
I also create other woven products, such as hand-dyed, hand-woven silk scarves and various interior home products. Recently I designed and wove impressions of Persian rugs in a weft-faced weaving technique that demonstrate the influence of the three types of Central Asian carpet design. |
|
GLACIER ARTS encompasses my fiber arts and fine arts production. I paint in oils, and have been a commercial illustrator. My weaving reflects the artistic approach to color and design found in my oil paintings. Future additions to this website will include new rugs, scarves, table runners, and other hand-woven products.
